Teleportation Transforms Society

Description

When humans develop the ability to 'jaunte' (teleport) by thought alone, society is radically restructured. The rich barricade themselves in underground labyrinths since physical security becomes impossible. Class warfare intensifies as the elite control access to space travel (the one thing jaunting cannot do). An obsessed, abandoned spaceman transcends human limits in his quest for vengeance, ultimately discovering an even greater teleportation power.

Real-World Relevance

Models individuals with ungovernable capabilities: relevant to cybersecurity (hackers who can go anywhere digitally), dark web anonymity, and the challenge of governing actors who can bypass physical constraints.
